Fire Weather Watch issued for Wednesday

A Fire Weather Watch is in effect from Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening for abundant lighting on dry fuels for areas of Southern Oregon and Northern California

Gusty winds and low relative humidity are expected east of the Cascades.

Dry weather will continue through at least next Tuesday. Afternoon temperatures will be hot for inland locations Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Gusty winds are expected east of the Cascades into this evening.

Also, gusty east breezes with moderate overnight recoveries are expected near and at the ridges in southwest Oregon and western Siskiyou County tonight. Wednesday is now looking more favorable for thunderstorms from late morning into Wednesday evening. The best case will be isolated thunderstorms, worst case scattered thunderstorms.

    • Oregon: 603, 604, 616, 617, 619, 620, 622, 623, 624, and 625.

    • California: 280, 281, and 284.

  • Counties:

    • Oregon: Lane, Douglas, Curry, Josephine, Jackson, Klamath and Lake

    • California: Siskiyou

  • Including the areas of the Fremont-Winema National Forest, Rogue River - Siskiyou National Forest, and Umpqua National Forest
