Kylan Taylor directs $1,000 prize donation from OBRC to Tater Tots Pediatric Therapy

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Kylan Taylor of Klamath Falls finds fifth of six hidden bottles for Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative’s (OBRC) Hidden Bottle Hunt 2023 on Sunday in Moore Park in Klamath Falls, winning the opportunity to direct a $1000 donation to Tater Tots Pediatric Therapy.

“I would say that getting the community involved was the best part,” said Kaylan Taylor. “We posted on Facebook every day originally thinking the bottle was in Medford, but then some families that we worked with messaged us about Moore Park, and another helped us search the area today.”

Kylan and his wife Kayla were both born and raised in the Klamath Basin and are first time hunters this year. The husband-wife duo also founded Tater Tots Pediatric Therapy. Since the non-profit received its 501(c)(3) for organization in January, the couple have participated in the Bottle Drop Give program. They thought the Bottle Hunt was an awesome idea and knew they had to hunt this year.

Tater Tots Pediatric Therapy is a local non-profit that provides speech and physical therapy services for kids in Klamath Falls and its surrounding communities. The program also offers a range of community services and programs. Tater Tots Pediatric Therapy is one of over 5,000 non-profits that are a part of the BottleDrop Give program.

With the last two bottles found on Sunday, we now conclude Hidden Bottle Hunt 2023. Participants can learn more about the hunt to prepare for next year by visiting a dedicated page on BottleDrop’s website.

Zone 3 Clues

DAY 1

A fowl presence parked in a roguish heart,
come for more tools, see the strange attraction.
But if you want it to sing thee something well,
the direction it faces is a worthy transaction.

DAY 2

Fowl again, but now the water fits the bill
to help you get your pointes on the ground.
It’s a good bet to pirouette with Odette,
en avant to the county where it will be found!

DAY 3

Two boys of summer, an ad campaign for kicks
The World’s Greatest? Belatedly, only the one.
Find his way and you’ll be buzzing near the gold,
it’s a missing link to vault your bottle run.

DAY 4

Chuck and bro’s gift has had skiing and skating,
it was also a wily home for a zoo.
Today, aces are possible in more than one game,
in this place someone will say “woohoo!”.

DAY 5

If you start at Nevada and continue west
you’ll be linked to a waterfront road.
To your right is a lake that’s second to one
and a playground in construction mode.

Look for a sign so dearly important
and prance across to Rufus’ dedicated wall.
There you’ll see a multi stemmed tree,
find it first and win it all.

What is the Hidden Bottle Hunt?
OBRC’s third statewide Hidden Bottle Hunt runs July 5 – 9, 2023 to commemorate the 52nd anniversary of the Oregon Bottle Bill. It is a treasure hunt with six specially designed, blue-painted bottles with commemorative medallions hidden throughout the state. BottleDrop releases one clue per bottle, per day, on their website, leading hunters to the final hiding spot. The lucky finders each keep the commemorative bottle and select a BottleDrop Give nonprofit partner to receive a $1,000 donation though BottleDrop’s Containers for Change program.
