The 2019-20 Winter Weather Alerts are brought to you by Ace Towing.

Very difficult mountain travel expected, especially through the Cascades. A period of very active and increasingly cold weather begins tonight and continues through at least early next week.

Snow levels will be below most major pass level through the duration of the event, so snow impacts in the mountains are certain. There are two periods where very heavy snow is certain: tonight into Saturday and again Saturday night into Sunday night.

Eastside locations will see periods of moderate snowfall along with gusty winds and blowing snow at times. It becomes much colder with snow levels lowering to the valley floors Sunday through at least mid-week. The Cascades are certain to get heavy snow again during this timeframe. The occurrence, timing, and potential amounts of lower elevation snow remains uncertain, however, snow impacts over the lower I-5 passes north of Grants Pass are likely at times Sunday night and Monday night through mid-week.
