KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - It has been nearly two full years since a headlining act rocked the main stage at the Klamath County Fair. The pandemic-stricken year of 2020 forced a scaled-back production of the Fair to only its core elements, the Youth Livestock Show and Sale. This year, with restrictions loosening up, Klamath County Fair officials are going all-in to bring the party back to Klamath County better than ever before. Starting with two new headlining acts to the Klamath Basin, ‘90s alternative rockers Everclear and the country music legends of Sawyer Brown.

Friday night, August 6, inside the John Hancock Event Center, Everclear will perform their iconic 90’s alternative rock hits. Country music legends, Sawyer Brown will take the stage on Saturday, August 7 to perform their renowned country-pop music of the ’80s & ’90s.

“The past year has been challenging for us all and the Klamath County Fair Board, along with the Fair staff, are very excited to be able to plan and prepare to entertain our community,” said Derrick Rowley Klamath County Fairgrounds Manager. “We have been working hard to ensure this year's Klamath County Fair is better than ever.”

Everclear has written, recorded, and performed some truly quintessential ‘90s alternative rock hits including Santa Monica, I Will Buy You a New Life, Father of Mine, and Wonderful.

Sawyer Brown has released eighteen studio albums and has charted over fifty times on the American Country Charts, including three number one singles: Step that Step, Some Girls Do, and Thank God for You.

Concert tickets will start at $10 and go on sale Friday June 18, 2021. Purchase them online at klamathcountyfair.com.

RETURNING FOR 2021

Making a comeback this year is the highly anticipated Demolition Derby. Featuring over $9,000 in prize money up for grabs. Vehicular carnage will be held in the outdoor arena Saturday afternoon, ending before the start of the concert. Allowing demolition and country lovers to attend both events.

Derby tickets are $20.00 for Adults (13+), with children 12 and under, free.

Wold Amusements returns as the featured carnival bringing their compelling rides and games for thrill-seekers, family adventures, and midway challengers.

As learned last year, the Youth Livestock Show and Auction is the heart and soul of the Klamath County Fair. It just would not be the Fair without the kids and critters. Klamath County 4-H and FFA programs will showcase their large animals, small animals, and non-animal projects throughout the fair. The annual livestock auction will be held on Sunday, August 8.

Get to baking, growing, canning, drawing, painting, crafting, and photographing as open fair entries will once again be accepted.  Enter your finest in hopes to be “Best of Show.” View the exhibitor handbook at https://www.klamathcountyfair.com/showcase-entry for complete details on open fair entries.

Along with the KLAD stage, entertaining fairgoers all weekend long, the Catch Pen returns by popular demand. The party tent will be open ‘till midnight on Friday and Saturday night following the concerts. The after-party will be home to even more live music, dancing, and libations.

NEW FOR 2021

The Fair would not be the Fair without bringing new entertainment opportunities to experience. This year is no different with esports and an escape room.

Nitewolf Games joins the Fair and brings for the first time ever esports to the Klamath County Fair. The crew at Nitewolf Games is providing competitive, organized video gaming for players of all skill levels. Esports will be housed in the Linman Hall. Enter to participate or simply watch your favorite players on the jumbo screens. Featured games/tournaments include Fortnite, Halo Reach, Overwatch, StarCraft II, CS-GO, and Super Smash Bros.

The ever-frightening Monster Mac whom you may know from the haunted house, brings an escape room to challenge all who dare. You and your team enter a room where you have just minutes to find clues to solve riddles, puzzles, and challenges. Just when you believe you have solved the challenge, there is another puzzle to solve. The clock is ticking.

“I could not be more proud of my staff and all of the volunteers who are working hard to make these new events happen,” said Rowley. “It will require a bit more preparation but it will be well worth it for the sake of bringing our community back together.”

Follow the Klamath County Fair Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/klamathcofairgrounds) page for updates on esports and the escape room.
