Drops and Claybaugh Lead Owls on 1st Day at San Francisco Distance Carnival

HAYWARD, Calif. – Hunter Drops (Pictured)and Dillon Claybaugh led 38 Oregon Tech athletes on the first day of the San Francisco Distance Carnival being held at Chabot College.
 
Drops won the Pole Vault with an NAIA "A" qualifying jump of 4.80 meters
 
Claybaugh was second in the High Jump with a leap of 1.94m (6'6.25")
 
The women's 4x400m team finished 6th with a time of 4:05.68 with the men's 4x400 team finishing 2nd with a time of 3:18.68.

Tech's Annika Anderson hit an NAIA "B" mark in the women's 3,000 meter steeplechase in 11:28.50
 
Jasmine James finished 5th in the women's Triple Jump with a jump of 10.50 meters
 
Tech's Nishi Chase was 3rd in the women's Pole Vault with her best jump of 3.35 meters.
