Classics take over the streets of Klamath Falls

Oldies filled the air as nearly 400 cars took part in the 2019 Kruise of Klamath Show and Shine held Saturday in Moore Park.
Ford, GM, and Mopar gear heads united to show their classics, restorations and modified vehicles for a fun filled day in the sun.
Saturday evening, the streets of Downtown Klamath Falls came alive as the cars from yesterday rumbled and roared in front of a crowd of thousands.
“Nearly 40% of all our registered vehicles travel from outside the area, requiring multiple days in hotels while they stay here in the Basin,” says Linda Tepper, Secretary and Treasurer for the Kruise of Klamath.

The Kruise of Klamath is a five day event beginning on Wednesday and ending on Sunday. Saturday’s events are the premiere attraction of the event.
On Wednesday, a smaller show and shine was held at the Merrill Civic Center and included a fundraising BBQ for FFA, live music, and showcased the agribusiness industry of the south county area.
On Thursday a group of Kruisers boarded a charter bus and spent the day at Train Mountain and Crater Lake National Park. That was followed by a kick off party and screening of American Graffiti at the Ross Ragland Theater.
Friday was a day of mini shows, held throughout the basin at some of the event sponsors - Waffle Hut, Winema Electric, Aftershock, and Mia & Pia’s. Following the mini shows was a BBQ dinner and sock hop at the Ross Ragland.
The Moore Park Show and Shine was on Saturday where 380 vehicles were showcased on the lawn of the park. Food, music, and vendors were also available at the event.
Spectators from all over the area attended.
Sundays events include a breakfast at Starv’n Marv’n and a Poker Run.
