City to work on geothermal vault downtown

A geothermal vault will be repaired at 8th and Main in Downtown Klamath Falls Aug 1 - Sept 15, causing lane restrictions and closures in the area. (Image: Google Maps)
Maintenance and Water Division Crews will be performing repairs for the Geothermal System underground utility vault at the corner of 8th and Main. A temporary lane closure will occur for eastbound traffic on 8th street from 6:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. on August 1. Please make plans to take an alternate route on this date.
Work will continue through mid-September for this project with minimal traffic interruptions expected.
Pedestrians may encounter small barricades surrounding the work zone at this intersection during this time frame and are urged not to cross barricades into the work area. We also ask that citizens stay clear of contractors and City Staff as overhead and underground work will occur during this project.
