Bonanza man dies in crash near Sprague River

The following is a press release from the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 5:00 AM, April 29, 2021, Klamath County Sheriff’s Office deputies and fire crews from Klamath County Fire District 3, responded to a crash in the 32000 block of Sprague River Rd, east of Sprague River, OR.

The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

While the crash is still under investigation deputies believe the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and appears to have lost control of the vehicle before being ejected.

The deceased was identified as Michael Lee Pett, of Bonanza, OR.
