    9. Commissioner Reports

Commissioner Boyd: Indicates he has been working hard on the Animal Control issue, will be discussing a plan at today's Admin meeting. Also been working on water issues with the many effected groups involved and OWRD (Federal Government), plans on getting everyone together so we can try to work on a sustainable plan/resolution. Asks Senator Linthicum what his plan is to solve the water issue? Indicated that when Linthicum was campaigning for his current position he stated he had a plan, but we still don't know what that plan is. Additionally, been working daily with Code Enforcement, plans on trying to get another officer so we can beef up enforcement asks citizens to contact our office with addresses of violators and will get someone out to inspect.

Commissioner Morris: Toured the "New" Cornett Hall up at OIT yesterday with Dr. Nagi and his staff, will be a great addition to the campus, beautiful new building. Additionally working with NACo (National Association of Counties) regarding an energy development panel that will present at the annual conference in Washington DC in March. Was at Ross Ragland on Sunday to see Leeann Rimes, was a great concert, don't have to leave our community to get quality entertainment.

Commissioner DeGroot: Is excited that this particular Board is so diverse, each Commissioner working on different issues for the County. Been working with Developmental Disabilities Services office regarding issues/restructuring and also hiring a new Director to get that office back on track, thanks public for their patience during this process. Was at KCC last week for Philanthropy Summit, was a great to see so many people's commitment to educating our youth and improving our community. Was at O&C last week, many things going on in DC that effect our community, SRS funding is or is not reauthorized that would directly effect our Counties PILT payment from the Federal Government, that uncertainty make it difficult for us to project our budget, but we will get it done, the County did not nor will we "shut down".
