The school will encourage everyone to wear the Tiger Pride shirts on Fridays

Every Ferguson Elementary School student and staff member received a free T-shirt Thursday decorated with the school’s Tiger paw logo thanks to a generous donation from Baptist Church on Homedale.

The black T-shirts with the white Tiger Pride logos were a gift from the nearby church, which is across from the school’s entrance. The donation allowed the school to buy enough shirts for its 523 students and 53 staff members.

Third-grade teachers Heidi Brookshire, Domingo Arriola and Karissa Gomez donated their time to screen print the shirts with the logo.

Ferguson Principal Kelley Fritz was thankful for the donation from the church.

“A big shout out to Baptist Church on Homedale for supporting Ferguson School and making it possible for every student to have a “Tiger T-shirt,” she said. “And a thank you to the three third-grade teachers, Heidi Brookshire, Domingo Arriola and Karyssa Gomez, for putting the design on the shirts.”

Students and staff will wear their T-shirts on Fridays to show school unity and Tiger pride.
