“It’s almost the official launch of the theaters 30th Anniversary Season and we are more than excited, says Terra Russo, Director of Development and Marketing. “Mark Chesnutt puts on a dynamite show every time. A true professional!”

“The Ragland is where it’s at on September 28th,” continued Russo. “It’s not to be missed.”

Mark Chesnutt holds 14 number one hits, 23 top ten singles, 4 platinum albums, and 5 gold records. Critics have hailed him as a classic country singer of the first order and some of country music’s most elite entertainers from George Jones to George Strait echo this sentiment.

Look no further when it comes to Country music basics.

“It’s the music that has kept me around this long,” says Chesnutt.

In a world that sometimes confuses style with substance, Mark Chesnutt possesses both. Remaining true to himself as a traditional country artist while still keeping up with the ever-changing country landscape.

Chesnutt has a knack for picking great songs; delivering them with his world-class vocals; and with real heart-felt emotion. He has set the bar for his generation, not just for his being a consistent hit maker, but because of his love of genuine country music.

Mark Chesnutt’s personal integrity, as well as his principal to record a genuine country song, has made him a fixture on radio and in the honky tonks.

Chesnutt got his start in the honky-tonks of Beaumont, Texas, learning from his father, Bob Chesnutt, a singer, record collector, and major fan of classic country music. Playing alongside his dad, one set at a time, Mark embraced his father’s influence and began making a name for himself. Mark sang covers by Lefty, Merle, George, and Waylon to develop his unmatched crowd-pleasing rapport and his authentic country style.

Tickets on sale now starting at $44.

‘Frankenstein’
Friday, September 20th at 7:00pm, Frankenstein returns to international cinemas to mark the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley’s most famous novel.

Captured live in 2011 from the National Theatre stage in London, this thrilling, sold-out production became an international sensation, experienced by almost half a million people in cinemas around the world. Directed by Academy Award®-winner Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire), Frankenstein features Benedict Cumberbatch (Hamlet, BBC’s Sherlock) and Jonny Lee Miller (Elementary, Trainspotting) alternating between the roles of Victor Frankenstein and his creation.

Childlike in his innocence but grotesque in form, Frankenstein’s bewildered creature is cast out into a hostile universe by his horror-struck maker. Meeting with cruelty wherever he goes, the increasingly desperate and vengeful Creature determines to track down his creator and strike a terrifying deal. Scientific responsibility, parental neglect, cognitive development and the nature of good and evil, are embedded within this thrilling and deeply disturbing classic tale.

Frankenstein has a BBFC rating of 15, and contains a scene of sexual violence.

The Ross Ragland Theater will offer trivia and prizes before the show starts in the theater.

Tickets available now starting for $10.
