KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Oregon Tech men’s soccer team took an early lead in the first half to stay undefeated at home in CCC play, beating the Knights of Warner Pacific by a score of 3-0.

Oregon Tech kicked off against Warner Pacific looking to continue their home win streak. It took the Owls juts over 17:00 minutes to find their first goal. Sophomore, Brennan Gazdik, received a ball in the attacking third off of a throw in that he crossed into the back side of the 18 yard box, where junior forward Lodewijk Bloemzaad would one touch the ball past the Knights goalkeeper, for the first score of the game.

Tech followed their first tally less than 3:00 minutes later, this time it was Bloemzaad setting up junior Kelly Kyllo. Kyllo received the through ball from Bloemzaad leading him in on goal that he would tuck away. Despite the shots per half being almost even, at 7 and 8 per team, the score line sat 2-0 in favor of the home team entering the break.

The second half would see the Knights make an early push to try and get one back on the Owls, but the Tech defense held strong. In the 79th minute, Oregon Tech added their final security goal, as junior, Lucas Hale, would find senior Luis Valdez on a through ball leading Valdez 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper. Valdez calmly slotted the ball past the goalkeeper for the final tally of the afternoon, taking the final score 3-0 in favor of the Owls.

With the win, Oregon Tech moves to 3-4 in the CCC standings as they look to take on Eastern Oregon at home on Saturday with a 2pm kickoff.

The loss drops Warner Pacific to 0-5 in CCC play, as they head travel over the hill to Ashland, Oregon to take on SOU.
