Klamath Falls, Ore - Grace Maxfield just finished her senior year in 4-H raising a pair of animals. Unfortunately, Maxfield found it frustrating as she could not participate in the annual Rotary Junior Livestock Auction. Both her pig and lamb did not make weight. Since fair, Maxfield has been feeding out her lamb and it now weighs in at 135 lbs. Making it ready for sale.

Maxfield is a 7-year veteran of 4-H. Starting when she was 11-years old because she wanted to be a large animal veterinarian when she grew up. Part of the Crystal Springs Community 4-H club, Maxfield has worked hard to raise animals, and help others.

“I kept a heart for service and grew a passion for learning and helping others so that’s why I continued with the program.” I love 4H and I believe it has had a big impact on shaping the last few years.” Says Maxfield.

Today, Maxfield is attending Oregon Tech in the Pre-Dental Hygiene program. She is looking to use the funds from the sale of her lamb for books and tuition.
