KCFD1 Staff honored with Quilts of Valor

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Klamath County Fire District 1 (KCFD1) is proud to announce that this week nine members of the department were awarded Quilts of Valor in recognition of their military service.
The Quilts of Valor Foundation was started in Delaware by Catherine Roberts with the message, quilts equal healing. Over 315,000 quilts have been awarded across the nation since its modest beginning in 2003.
The quilts awarded on Tuesday were stitched locally by Quilts 4 Warriors, Donna Drucker, and Tisha Carpenter.

Deputy Chief Matt Hitchcock, Air Force
Fire Chief Greg Davis, Air Force
Firefighter Justin Llanes, Army
Firefighter Jeremy Valdez, Army
Firefighter Dean Limb, Navy
Firefighter Brett Doshier, Navy
Firefighter Kyle Keever, Marines
"A quilt of valor says, unequivocally, 'Thank you for your service, sacrifice and valor in serving our nation.'"
